How Advising Works With You...

PSEO Registration Process:
  1. Meet with your high school counselor to find out what you need to graduate from high school! Academic advisors do not know your high school requirements, so it is imperative that you meet with your high school counselor prior to registering for classes at Anoka-Ramsey.
  2. Have your high school counselor complete part of the PSEO Notice of Registration form (state form). This form is required each semester, and must be signed by you, a parent or guardian, and your high school counselor. This must be submitted to the Records office to register!
  3. Look through the course schedule to see what meets your high school requirements and what you would be interested in taking.
  4. Register for classes when registration opens for PSEO students. Remember to have your PSEO Notice of Registration form completed!*

PSEO students may register the first day of open registration (typically, the Thursday registration opens for the semester).

*Please note! All new PSEO students must attend a mandatory Registration Planning Session, and will need to register at the Records window their first time.

AP/CLEP:

If you completed Advanced Placement (AP), or College Level Examination Program (CLEP) you may be able to earn college credit. Submit an official transcript from the AP/CLEP tests to the Records office to have an official evaluation done. You can find out how the credits will transfer at the website, USelect.

  1. Go to the USelect website.
  2. Under "Look for a course or transfer information," choose "Equivalencies by School."
  3. Choose that you want to transfer your credits to Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
  4. Choose that you are transferring from "Standardized Examinations."
  5. Find your test, and see how it transfers!
Articulated College Credit (Tech Prep) Credits:

If you completed Tech Prep courses that transfer to Anoka-Ramsey, you may submit your certificate to the Records office within the time limit specified on the certificate to be granted course credit.
