Palliative & Geriatric Care

Anoka Care Center Dean McDevitt

The goal of palliative care is to relieve the pain, symptoms and stress of serious illness. It is appropriate for people of any age and at any point in an illness. It can be delivered along with traditional medical therapies. These courses are designed for health care professionals looking to add knowledge in the area of hospice and palliative care. Since healthcare is people intensive, the largest challenge in creating a new more caring environment will require an individual that is “trained differently.” These courses are designed to assist hospice and palliative health care professionals in understanding the field of Integrative Health and Healing and to incorporate these principles into their patient care.
