The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Coon Rapids Campus Student Senate was recently awarded Star Campus status by the Minnesota State College Student Association (MSCSA).

 The Star Campus award is given to MSCSA’s most active student senates. Only six student senates from the 47 two-year Minnesota State College and University member campuses were granted “Star Campus” status.

This is the first year that MSCSA is giving out the Star Campus awards. Criteria for the award include active attendance at MSCSA events, participation in MSCSA campaigns such as our “Get out the Vote” efforts and bringing students to lobby at the Minnesota Capitol. “From students serving on campus-wide committees to state-wide committees, keeping up to speed with a variety of projects at campuses to staying abreast of MSCSA business, the Anoka-Ramsey Coon Rapids Campus Student Senate is really a star for MSCSA,” says MSCSA President and Lake Superior College student Travis Johnson.

The Anoka-Ramsey Student Senate accepted the Star Campus award Apr. 17, 2011 at the MSCSA Spring General Assembly.
