Cambridge Campus Candlelight Ski Draws Nearly 200

February 10, 2012

Though the snow coverage was sparse, nearly 200 people, including college faculty, staff and students, attended this year’s Anoka-Ramsey Community College Cambridge Campus annual Candlelight Ski, Feb. 4.

Hiking along two miles of candlelit trails near the Rum River began early in the evening, while indoors there was hot chocolate, refreshments and entertainment by Ken Krona and Lyle Swedees.

The trails are part of the Spirit River Nature Area's cross-country ski trails that wander through the Cambridge Campus and the City of Cambridge.

Attendance for the event has nearly doubled in the past five years, and event coordinator, Biology Faculty member Mary Januschka credits the community and all of the staff and faculty for helping to make the event so successful.

This free community event is held every February, so mark your calendars now for next year's event and make Anoka-Ramsey Community College part of your entertainment fun.
